The Sky View hotel pool — Branding an experience
In Dubai, a hotel pool is not just a place to cool off, but a legitimately iconic landmark. The pool at Address Sky View Hotel overlooks the iconic Burj Khalifa. When the sun goes down, an infinity pool becomes a lightning rod for awe — it's a world where the sky meets the ground. This is what draws fans of House of the Dragon to recreate a dragon scene in Dubai. But Address Sky View is not exactly synonymous with dragons. Instead the dragon emblem is a nod to House of the Dragon, a fantasy-western TV show. The dragon emblem was created and held up to [the] camera. It showed a playful, fiery dragon emblem that echoed the show's themes of fire and power. This is a popular brand tie-up: a fact-finding tour of Dubai hotels shows at least half a dozen tie-ins with TV & Movies. This does not seem to be the first dragon-related photo shoot in Dubai. In the caption, viewers were assured of the full season of the show. It was shot at the Address Sky View Hotel. The hotel is given a shoutout because it already has a reputation as an event space.
