The Chinese province of Sichuan is home to many natural wonders, but it’s also known for its landslide risks. A massive landslide struck in Mao County recently. A glaring difference from past disasters was the absence of casualties. The landslide however was no less terrifying — an avalanche of earth and debris impacted a building, a monument of human enterprise. It left behind a thick cloud of dust that hung over the area.
