Night Shift Disturbance
The rapper's overreach in a McDonald's’ scene is over. The disturbance wasn’t worth the risk. The resturant worker’s visibility into a person wearing a dark cloak, hinting at dramatic tension, becomes a blunder of exposure to sexually explicit content near bun and fry oil storage areas, where "FRESH OBSERVATION" is a backdrop of "FRY OIL" and "TASTEBUD" The narrator’s commentary about "a person in a dark cloak" instead becomes ugly imagery: "SHTS FEMALE COWORKER INSIDE RESTAURANT BEFORE BEING SHT BY POLICE." This explicit text, detracts from the drama, emphasizing the wrong message. The cloak is a symbol of “fresh observation,” but at McDonald's, the rapper flirted with the possibility of a PR crisis. The scene did not create an engaging mystery with its creepy cloak and FRESH OBSERATIONS, the rap star’s antics could have been a promotional movie clip, but the explicit unveiling "SHTS FEMALE COWORKER INSIDE RESTAURANT BEFORE BEING SHT BY POLICE," just generated a shameful message and a loss of the drama. The visuals’ commentary "FRESH OBSERVATIONS" is overpowered by the image of “SHTS FEMALE COWORKER INSIDE RESTAURANT BEFORE BEING SHT BY POLICE,” which redefines the narrative with a sleazier theme.
A Costly Attempt At Mystery
Ironic that a theme of cleanliness and hygiene (with bun and the fry oil storage areas) for fresh observing is overpowered by the disgusting display. Instead of creating another McDonald’s ad just full of trope-filled characters the rapper, somehow, made the burger and fries playlist into a taste for violence with the words "SHTS FEMALE COWORKER INSIDE RESTAURANT BEFORE BEING SHT BY POLICE." The rap star tried to build a film narrative by obscuring the main character in a McDonald’s setting with a dark cloak. However, the associated inappropriate text "SHTS FEMALE COWORKER INSIDE RESTAURANT BEFORE BEING SHT BY POLICE" changed the focus, which contradicted the intended "FRESH OBSERVATION" theme. The rapidness of the deterioration of his marketing strategy is surprising because, traditionally, actors create fear or anticipation to connect with audiences. However, in a McDonald’s store, this rapper’s strategy failed and caused a massive PR failure. It merely created an atmosphere of fear of the police, rather than the intended mystery around a police chase. In McDonald’s queue, surprisingly, no one queued up or led to the most liked clips but instead, the rapper’s failure became chatters connected with the PR failure in McDonald’s.
